Jennifer Esteban was born in Argentina and came to the United States as a child after her family left during a period of political instability. Starting over in a new country gave her a deep appreciation for resilience, opportunity, and the promise of the American Dream, while giving her a unique perspective on how culture and governance shape everyday life.
An entrepreneur at heart, Jennifer was introduced to building by her father, who taught her general contracting, home renovation, and interior design. Those experiences sparked a lifelong passion for design, craftsmanship, and solving problems.
Growing up, everyone assumed Jennifer would become an artist. Creativity came naturally to her, first through painting, then photography, and then into interior decor. As she matured, however, that creativity expanded beyond the arts into systems thinking, entrepreneurship, and the philosophical ideas that shape people and society. She often says she didn't stop being creative—her canvas simply grew.
That foundation led Jennifer to a career as an interiors photographer, with work published in Architectural Digest and Vogue. At the same time, she was increasingly drawn to business, marketing, and leadership, leading her into the startup world both in beauty and fashion as well as tech.
Alongside her career, Jennifer studied religion and world history to better understand the beliefs, values, and cultures that shape civilizations. Over time, that curiosity evolved into a deeper interest in communication, governance, and the systems that influence human flourishing.
Those experiences ultimately led her into politics — not because she aspires to become a politician, but because she came to believe that many of the challenges affecting everyday life stem from one root cause: poor governance. Government influences everything from affordability and entrepreneurship to housing, wages, and economic opportunity. Jennifer is passionate about preserving the American Dream for everyone—especially those who, like her family, came to this country with little but a willingness to work hard and build a better future.
Today, Jennifer brings together her background in design, business, communication, and leadership to build organizations that have purpose. Through her work with United Independents, she is helping advance a movement that puts people ahead of special interests and focuses on creating a more affordable, opportunity-driven future for all Americans.
Outside of her civic work, Jennifer continues to pursue her creative passions through interior photography, interior and landscape design, and a variety of entrepreneurial ventures. She believes creativity and entrepreneurship are lifelong pursuits—and that some of the best ideas come from building simply for the joy of creating.
